Higher than standard opening temperature at 85 degrees for better heater operation.

Before fitting the new thermostat, it is recommended that you drill a small hole (2 or 3mm diameter) as shown in the photo. This allows any air to bleed out, preventing a vapour lock which would prevent the thermostat opening due to lack of coolant under it.
