Re-manufactured steering rack for left hand drive models with green LHM fluid.
We got sick of fitting reconditioned steering racks that did not have the crossover pressures set up correctly, or had so much internal wear on the metal parts that the pressures could not be set correctly and racks which would weep fluid from the rotating union within a short time, so we searched for a better option.
These steering racks are quite simply the best quality remanufactured steering racks for D model Citroens on the market today. Not only are the seals and bearings replaced, but also any worn bores are re-machined and metal parts are replaced with new or reground parts as required. The rubber gaiters and pinion dust cover are of a very high quality too, as it's no good making the rack so good only for the rubbers to perish within a year or two. The end result is a steering rack which is as good, if not better than the new item that Citroen would have supplied when you could still buy them. Each and every rack is set up and tested on an original Citroen steering test bench before leaving the factory.
We are so happy with the quality of these steering racks that we put a 2 year unlimited mileage warranty on them.
As this is a re-manufactured part, we need your old rack back to re-manufacture for the next person and for this reason we have included a surcharge of £165.00 in the price. We will refund the surcharge upon receipt of your old steering rack. We are happy to arrange for the old rack to be collected by our courier (within the UK), but the cost of this will be deducted from the refund Surcharges explained, click here.
