Owners of 1966 to 1969 D models with the coarser pitch flywheel ring gear can now also take advantage of a modern high powered compact starter motor.
Due to the high failure rate we experienced with other types of new starter for this application, we have had these high quality ones made for us here in the UK.

They are a modern high torque starter specially built to suit the late 1960's D Models. It has a 10 tooth pinion to mate with the ring gear originally fitted to DS and Break models from 9/65 to 10/69 and ID models from 9/66 to 10/69.

Please note that the heat shield originally mounted on your starter motor will not fit this new one, however we are assured by the manufacturer that these new starters are built to withstand much higher temperatures than the original and a heat shield will not be required.
