This is a new compact but powerful starter motor of a modern type, which is suitable for all D models from October 1969 onwards. Because this starter is shorter than the original, some adaption of the heat shield will be required to enable it to fit the rear mounting point.

When ordering please select whether you need the version with shunt (one wire going to starter and relay on battery) or without shunt (2 wires going to starter and no relay on battery)
